At the same time it is located on the archeological site of Makrigianni, a remaining of the Romans and Protos Byzantine Athens.

During your visit, the museum archaeologist host will be available to answer any questions you may have about the exhibits and the daily lives of people of the ancient times. In addition, you can take part in the presentations of some masterpieces or selected exhibitions in Greek and also in English. Lectures are 60 minutes long and each session is limited to 30 visitors. On the first floor of the museum there is a virtual reality theatre that can seat about 40 people. The Acropolis Museum welcomes visitors and offers them the opportunity to learn more about the monuments through 3D video projections. Every Saturday and Sunday, you can find tickets for short 3D projections at the museum .

After visiting the museum, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up a great gift or souvenir from one of the museum’s shops. On the second floor you will find the reading lounge area where you can also read something while admiring the view of the monument. On the second floor, visitors will find a restaurant that also offers a children’s menu for families.
